3. Notes
The distribution of Emberizinae in East Asia may be found at Tzung-Su Ding's Distribution of Fringillidae in East Asia. It now appears that Urocynchramus pylzowi may belong with the rosefinches. If this is the case, the Japanese name (meaning 'mock bunting' or 'pseudo-bunting') will not cause any problems, but the Chinese name, which means 'rosy bunting', may have to be changed. |
