7. Verbs that Block the Reflexive Suffix
There are a few verbs, notably xüsex 'desire', xičeex 'strive', and ermelzex 'aspire' that do not take the reflexive suffix even when the subject of the subordinate clause is the same as that of the main clause. These are all verbs which indicate a desire or aspiration for a future happening.
