The original regularity of English names was broken in The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 3. In this title, the author returns to the original pattern.

The Chinese Mainland version continues to maintain the pattern followed from the very first volume (The Standard Book of Spells (Grade 1)). The Taiwanese version also follows a standard pattern.

The Japanese translator fails to return to the original pattern of the first two volumes, instead setting a new pattern.

Vietnamese continues to use bùa chú 'amulets and spells'. This was first used in The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 3. In the first two books 'spells' was translated as thần chú 'spells, incantations'.
